Meet Maddy! A Camera Loving English Labrador

Meet Maddie Everyone!!

Maddie is an adorable English Labrador I recently met on Mother’s Day weekend in Grants Pass, Oregon.

While my husband and I were visiting his parents we were introduced to a sweet new addition to their family.  Maddie! A 10-month-old English Labrador full of spunk and personality.  She was so excited to meet us!

Maddie was full of wiggles and joy at the sight of her new family members!

My mother-in-law Sue showed me some recent pictures she had taken of Maddie. I was immediately smitten with her!  This girl loves a camera!

I was particularly taken By Maddie when I saw this picture of her.

Apparently, she loves sitting under this lace tablecloth from my wedding.  Of course, I knew then that Maddie and I were destined to be kindred spirits.  Not to mention she obviously has excellent taste!

Now that I am her new sister in law, I felt I needed to introduce her to my readers.  Since I don’t have the privilege of living with Miss Maddie, I figured an interview was the way to show off this young lady.  And since she knows how to pose for a camera, I figured she’d be a natural for a blog interview!!  Turns out I was right!

Kacie:  Maddie, when were you born?

Maddie: I was born on July 15, 2018, in Salem, Oregon. I am an official registered English Lab!

Kacie:  What is your favorite treat?

Maddie:  Oh my, that’s a tough choice. I don’t think I can narrow it down to just one treat. I love treats way too much to pick only one.

Kacie:  Don’t worry about narrowing it down to one treat, go ahead and tell me what all your favorite treats are.

Maddie: Oh good!!   That’s easier!  First, I love food! I’m really not too picky.  Especially food from the table that my Mommy and Daddy give me when I’m a good girl. 

I also love all the fruit I can get my paws on! Bananas, apples, oranges, carrots, you name it! What do I love most of all? Maybe cooked broccoli-yummy!!!!

Kacie:  Do you have any hobbies?

Maddie:  I like going on walks with mom.  I get really excited when I see the geese. Oh boy!  I wish I could chase them,  that would be so much fun.  However, I’m pretty sure mom would not allow that.   

I also like to sit at Dad’s feet and watch sports. We like the Mariners!

Kacie: You seem to have adjusted to your new home and family very nicely. Are there household chores you like to help out with?

Maddie: Yes! I like to help mom in the garden. Mom and Dad have a beautiful garden.  When I can, I always offer my services!

Kacie:  That’s very thoughtful of you Maddie,  What a good girl!

Maddie: BARK!! Thank you!

Kacie:  Last but not least Maddie, where do you like to sleep?

Maddie:  I have my bed in the bathroom at night to sleep, but during the day, I like the couch or the bed! 

However, sometimes after too many table scraps I flop wherever is closest and most comfortable!

Kacie: Maddie, it’s been a pleasure visiting with you!  I look forward to seeing you soon!!  Keep posing for that camera. You’ve got a bright future ahead of you girl!!
