Holiday Tips for Your Pet Cat: By Grizzabella the Glamour Cat

You better watch out…

for Christmas trees,

I love it when we get the Christmas tree!! But don’t drink the tree water. It may be full of pesticides or harmful chemicals from the tree. If you have a fake tree beware of chewing on it. It can cause some GI tract issues.

And don’t knock it over trying to chase your annoying little bunny brother away!!

You better not cry…

If you chew on or ingest ribbons or tinsel. This causes major tummy problems and linear foreign body obstruction.

You better not pout…

…And eat decorative flowers and plants like mistletoe or poinsettias!

…Or get too close to candles and fireplaces!

…Or chew on Christmas lights and electrical cords!

I’m telling you why…

…Christmas flowers and plants are poisonous and can be deadly for cats!

…You don’t want the lyrics to change from “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” to “kitty roasting on an open fire.”

…Have you ever seen the part from the movie Christmas Vacation when the cat chews on the Christmas lights? I rest my case!

Kitty Clause is coming to town…

He sees you when you’re sleeping

(on your favorite Christmas blanket)

He Knows When You’re Awake

(Because your annoying little brother woke you up)

He knows if you’ve been bad or good

( like when you swat your brother for jumping on your Christmas blanket )

Bad?

(Or try to bum some of Mom’s drink)

Kinda Bad?

Or begrudgingly let your little brother run around on your favorite Christmas blanket

Very Good!!

So Be good for Goodness’ Sake!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Love,
