How I Spoil My Bunny!!

There are many ways to spoil your little bun bun!!

And if you are as crazy about your bun bun as I am about mine, then you are probably already in tune with your little fluff ball’s needs; his or her favorite treats, routines, and so forth!

Well, you all know how much I adore my little guy Dasher-or as we like to call him The Dash Man!!

And while he is one naughty little dude, he makes us immensely happy.

Every time we see his little body flopped on the rug, watch him hop, or see him dashing back and forth on the couch, it brings a smile, and makes us laugh without fail.  Needless to say, this cute little man is very easy to forgive!!

And easy to spoil!!!

We love spoiling our Dash Man!

And here is how we do it!!

Treats!!! Any pet loves treats and Dash Man is no different! 

Dasher’s favorite treats are Kaytee Timothy Baked Biscuits and Oxbow Simple Health Biscuits.

Toys!  He gets awfully excited when he sees a new toy! The only problem is he chews it up so darn fast it’s gone before you can say “Dasher….No Chew!!!!” 

Here are some of his favorite toys:

I buy several different types of chew toys. But Dasher seems to really enjoy the  Kaytee combo chews.  His favorites are the apple slices, and carrot patch combos!

Head rubs!!  He loves head rubs!!

Cage-Free!!

I guess you could say he is a free-range bunny!!!  When we are home he gets to dash around the house.

Well, most of the house…some areas are off-limits….which he knows but still tries to sneak in as much as he possibly can!!!!!   Naughty!!!!

But for the most part, he runs free, and loves it!!  For when we are away or asleep, we keep a little area in the garage sectioned off for him with a cage and cardboard and bedding. He can sit in his cage if he wants or he can run and play in his little area. That way he still has some freedom!

Warning….a free-range bunny can lead to some minor damage to furniture or a house….baseboards to be exact.  But they can be somewhat trainable and learn what their limits are. 

Isn’t that right Dasher?     Dasher????? Are you listening???

Fresh Veggies Every Morning!

With the exception of some, vegetables are very good for rabbits.  And Dash Man loves his veggies!  Every morning when I let him out of his room he dashes up the stairs and meets me at the refrigerator where he puts his little sasquatch paws on my knee and pokes his head in the veggie bag to see what his morning meal will consist of.

His favorite veggies are:

cilantro, parsley, romaine lettuce, brussel sprout leaves, bok choy, celery, and carrots! (but carrots are high in sugar so they are just an occasional treat when he’s being a good little bun bun!!)

We love our little guy!!  As my dad always said, “Discipline your kids but spoil  your pets!”

I couldn’t agree more!
