My Favorite Children’s Books about Animals

My Favorite Children’s Books about Animals

As a lifelong book lover as well as a huge fan of children’s literature, it is difficult to pick a favorite. There are so many classic endearing stories that made an impression on my heart as a little girl. So much so that once in a while when I need a little escape, I pull one off the shelf and enter the sweet imaginative world that children’s books provide.

As you all know, I love animals, and I’ve loved them my whole life. So it’s no surprise that my favorite children’s books are about animals. As a writer, the stories I enjoy putting on paper the most are about animals as well.  I think fictional books about animals are wonderful ways to teach children lessons on friendship, adventure, and family.

Here is a small list of my favorites!  Some are books I grew up with, and some are books I’ve read as an adult.  All of them I find completely charming!  In future posts, I will summarize and review each of these stories. Until then, I hope you find your local library or bookstore, snuggle up in a comfy oversized chair, and enjoy these dear stories!!
